INBLANC Processes Stakeholder Views For Better Outcomes
Stakeholders from the architecture, engineering and construction sector have a vested interest in the outcomes of our research. Understanding their needs as potential adopters is crucial so we can develop digital services for buildings in alignment with the market.
We ran a feedback collection cycle with stakeholders to collect their views on INBLANC solutions, including Energy Services, BIM Service, Comfort and Health, Renovation Support, Space as a Service and BIM2Struct. Feedback has been collected through a dedicated workshop and a survey, with 52 completed responses so far.
The results reveal that future users value services that can easily connect with their existing workflows, digital tools and Common Data Environments.
Key priorities include interoperability, reliable data, simple onboarding and continuity of building lifecycle information from design to operation.
These findings will directly support the next development steps for INBLANC services. They will also guide upcoming stakeholder engagement activities, where we will involve potential users in more detailed service demonstrations to gather their practical and technical feedback.
Alongside this work, INBLANC has advanced its policy and governance research, identifying key barriers to treating buildings as data-driven lifecycle assets, such as fragmented data, unclear Digital Building Logbook requirements and limited interoperability.
Overall, this first round of stakeholder feedback has yielded important insights to inform the project’s technical, engagement and policy work.
